Wellness Wednesday: Healing at Work - A Trauma-Informed Invitation for Entrepreneurs
Written by Miracle Nored
Entrepreneurs are often praised for resilience and drive. But what about the quiet moments between hustle and hope the ones where you question if you can carry both vision and healing at once?
If you've ever tried to build a legacy while nursing wounds unseen, you’re not alone. Wellness Wednesday is our purposeful pause, it a deep inhale and a slow release in the middle of striving. Not to fix, but to feel.
Entrepreneurship and the Nervous System
When trauma is part of your story, leadership isn't just strategic it’s somatic.
Entrepreneurs often live in states of hypervigilance: scanning for threats (missed deadlines, difficult clients, cash flow dips). But when we lead from a dysregulated nervous system, we teach our teams urgency over presence.
It’s time to rewrite that story.
Three Trauma-Informed Practices for Workplace Wellness
Here’s how trauma-informed entrepreneurs can shift their workspace into a healing space:
1. Normalize Regulation Over Reaction Begin team huddles with a grounding exercise breathwork, silence, or gentle music. Regulation first; results second.
2. Co-Create Safety Through Community Agreements Instead of rigid policies, develop shared norms rooted in compassion and transparency. Ask: What does safety look like for each of us in this space? Remember emotional safety is Just as important as physical safety
3. Honor the Body’s Need for Restoration Schedule “non-productive” time. This is not wasted time it’s nervous system repair.
Leadership Reimagined
Leadership is not performance. It's presence.
To every entrepreneur who’s learning to lead from their scars, your journey is honored. Healing is not a detour it's the pathway to ReJoyce. This Wednesday, let grace be your strategy, and gentleness your growth plan
